Wrapped in Plastic

So, the roof is now on and the house is wrapped in plastic. I must say, it looks so neat and lovely all wrapped up. I didn't realise why this was done but basically, because of the severe shortage of brick layers, we could be waiting a while until we get bricks done.

In the mean time we are getting a reverse build. Now that the house is wrapped they are able to start work on the internal linings ...... its apparently very safe to do so, and stops long building delays.

Our bricks have been delivered and our house is looking wonderful

It looks like a house!

I didn't go past the land yesterday..... most unusual of me really. I guess I didn't expect them to do much being a Friday. Got an update phone call from my site supervisor and he tells me the framers will be finished mid Monday....... that tells me they have started framing already. Sent Mum and my son around and sue enough they have been so very hard at work. Pity is was almost dark but we do have a couple of pics that show our house!

I cannot believe how quickly it has gone up!

We even have windows! I cannot wait to see it myself and take lots more pics!

Hiccup #4

Drove past the land this afternoon and thought it looked fabulously neat and all locked up - notice the padlock on the gate!
Then I looked at the side and noticed this little whoops! No idea how or what happened to make this fence look so disheveled.
Thankfully got on to site supervisor who organised to have someone repair it that afternoon.
It most definitely looks like it has been pushed over.... there were a lot of trucks around that day doing clearing so perhaps ED had used up some of their space
